Shake Out

Annmarie and her dog call Mazzok came to school for Shake Out .

While Room 4,5 and 6 were in the library waiting for Whaea Annmarie the library, the tables were all around the room.

When she came in, there was a temperature thing to measure the earthquakes.

She also had a board down, with a circle thing underneath the board. When she hopped on the board it was going up,down and to the side.  Wobbling to show how the earth moved in an earthquake.

So some children had a turn too.

”Who would want a turn?”’ and Esmonde put his hand up,

Esmonde stood on the board like a surfboard only he could not balance on the board.

When he was finished it was Maui’s turn on the board.

Massok had a turn on the board too and he stood very still.

We practiced the drop cover and hold so that we know what to do in an earthquake.

TE WATENE MAEHE NGARAHU PAI KEREONE

Watene is a terrific brother in the world. He has dark black hair like my dad. He loves our family. He can speak maori to my Nan, Papa and our cousins. I am close with my brother.

   

Watene is always  terrific to my family. He gets excited when my Mum and Dad has lollies to share with the family. He jumps up and down and chucks the pillow on the wall. My brother laughs like me and I laugh like him.  Sometimes my brother smiles like a sad puppy. The corners of his mouth is turned down.  

He is so funny when he shoots the gun. He has a great way of shooting birds.
